I agree with your interpretation of these people. If you watch the news there seem to be more and more of them, not even considering the "church-who-shall-not-be-named" that loves to protest! I personally find them quite as frightening as any threat of the Muslim world. I don't necessarily believe in the supernatural events, but I have a granddaughter that I'm beginning to wonder about. She makes me wonder if she...well, sees dead people for lack of a better term. I personally have never had anything happen, but second sight does run in the family. Anyway--keep up the work exposing these people and warning others about them.mamafroghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13215031912797290210noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-914842448114558426.post-8133198440648811532012-07-13T17:43:51.881-04:002012-07-13T17:43:51.881-04:00I've had some strange experiences that were sy...I've had some strange experiences that were synchronistic with death of a dear relative on the other side of the world. But they were both rather odd and inconsequential communications. I was in a store, and my grandmother's voice in my ear told me my guests would appreciate it if I would buy this particular crystal olive tray, actually a lot like the kinds she had owned herself. I took it to the counter and they gave me a 2nd one for free. She had died that day. I'd hesitate to blame this kind of thing on either a god or a demon, really. I was entirely convinced of her presence for a moment, that's all.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-914842448114558426.post-73212652418586980122012-07-03T18:01:12.076-04:002012-07-03T18:01:12.076-04:00Howard,

Most mainline Denominations require a M.Div and additional training and study while other denominations hardly even require a B.A. to be ordained.

When it comes down to it it is governed by local laws. Some counties recognize online ordination if the person has real training and a real congregation. Other counties have lists of recognized or approved faith groups. So it essentially is not a static thing even outside of church standards.

But national accreditation is national accreditation pure and simple.

And to be honest, attaining a real accredited Doctorate degree is (usually)a lot harder to do than to become ordained.Pastor Swopehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16008265694116146151noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-914842448114558426.post-41375709780147154702012-07-03T09:20:52.408-04:002012-07-03T09:20:52.408-04:00I'm surprised you are more concerned at false ...I'm surprised you are more concerned at false claims to a Ph.D. than equally doubtful claims to an ordination. Yeah, I know it would be impossible to come up with some sort of meaningful standard that all Protestants would agree to, but that's part of the problem, isn't it?Howardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04843514873861242426noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-914842448114558426.post-77216696862058001822012-06-26T23:17:22.000-04:002012-06-26T23:17:22.000-04:00Try telling them about references in the Bible con...Try telling them about references in the Bible concerning reincarnation!
